My Saturday Morning

The CSA that I am a member of offered a u-pick day for their strawberries and I decided to take advantage of it. It's a little hard to tell exactly how many strawberries there are in the pic below, but I ended up picking 4 ice cream buckets worth of berries in just over an hour (the plastic containers hold 7 cups apiece). A few are going to Julia, but the rest are headed to the freezer, ice cream, my stomach, and I'm going to try my hand at jam. Mmmmm! Gotta love summer!

Camping

Just got back to Madison from a couple of great days at Kohler-Andrae on Lake Michigan. It was beautiful and because it was so early in the season, I had a lot of beach to myself. Got the first sunburn of the season!
